Default Help Build My Jeep!

Alright, so I'm planning on pickin up a new Rubicon Unlimited here so far.. I'm getting the top of the line model with the standard trans. I'm sort of new to the whole Jeep community, but I've always wanted one, and the military pays me well.. so why not pick one up.. right? Now, I know I definitely want to go big or go home with it.. I'm out of the states for the majority of every month.. I fly all over the world and work my ass off, so when I come home, I want to be able to go out and have some ******* fun in the mud! Now I don't really know what I should be looking at as far as lifts, tires, engine upgrades (the new V6 doesn't seem like its gonna have the balls it needs to push something with a big lift and nice sized tires through a big mud pit.. although that's why I'm here asking you guys I suppose!) Anyway, I want a big lift.. I'm thinkin 7" lift? Obviously a wheel and tire package to complement! I definitely need to have a winch on that pig.. Also, probably an exhaust set up with it.. snorkels seem like the best bet with the pits Ill be taking this through.. Ill be making trips back to northern NY (Where Im from) from Jersey quite a bit.. and we've got some pretty crazy pits up there!

Basically, I want you guys, the enthusiasts, to help me build this jeep so there's not a whole lot I'm gonna have to worry about unless the pit of hell opens up and swallows me whole . I want a jeep that's gonna be able to go through just about anything.. Give me price quotes, sites to look at, suggestions, pictures.. ya know, the works. This jeep project is gonna start in a few months, I just want to get a solid base of what I want done to this before I go ahead and get goin. Money, for the most part, isnt an issue.. I work my ass off for the Air Force, so I feel that when I do get a break, I want to go out and have some GD fun!

Thanks guys!

Well I would do that, although I really like the looks of the 4 doors.. And honestly, that's not a very.. Idk.. Practical vehicle? Haha, I'm not saying I'm looking for the epitome of practicality and gas mileage, but that's something I really doubt is even road legal =]

Awesome rig... If I only have the bucks to get this vehicle I would not hesitate... Let us see if Brizz-"O" is willing to throw $30,00 for this bad ass truck...

I would but it's a little over the top, I need a vehicle that can actually drive on the road haha.. That thing is sweet though, I'll give you that! I really like the rubicon unlimited specifically though. I've always wanted a jeep, and the 4 door option is exactly what I want!

American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) - The AEV J8 MILSPEC, the toughest jeep available to civilians ever

there ya go man! diesel and only the essentials! AEV has some nice setups for the late 90's up jeeps.

good luck on finding something that fits your needs and check with some of the vendors on here about new products and equipment for the jeep that suits you.
