I'm going to be doing this very thing with mine when I do my engine swap. I do know you need a 1" body lift for it to work. The CJ grill is an inch taller than the YJ so you need that lift so the hood sits level when it's installed. I'm putting a Ford 5.0 into my YJ, so the extra inch of clearance is already a must. There's a write up of this at http://www.mn-jeep.com/features/cj-yj/1.shtml You may have to sign up for the forums, I'm not sure. It goes into it, anyway. The pics on that writeup don't work, though, so you'll have to rely on instinct. Good luck

I may do the fiberglass tilt front end for a yj to cj look. Not to sure yet. I really like the steel front end. After all, STEEL IS REAL!!!!

Default Tilt...

I had given some thought to a tilt fiberglass front and then saw a friend's CJ slide into a tree which hooked behind a front tire and took out most of a fender and then and there decided that the cost of pounding out tin vs having to repair or replace a $500 tilt hood made steel the choice for me.

i always wished somebody somewhere would make a replacement front grill for YJ's with round headlights - not that i mind the square ones - but if some aftermarket company made a conversion front grill i'd probably buy it.

All this CJ front end conversion and that sq hd light to round sound like a waste of money to me. I would put my $$$ somewhere else before doing this.

i just checked with the manufacturer:
http://www.omix-ada.com/newmarkedproducts.htm
they told me the grill will be available in 45 days from their distributors - more content about the grill conaversion will be on their site then as well - and yes i'm betting it will cost upwards or $300-$500.
Worth it? probably not if there's nothing wrong with your front end presently - but if you need to replace it and simply want a change - this is a pretty cool option.
I'm betting in a year - other aftermarket companies will offer their own versions as well (if they obtain the licensing).
